Polly’s coming back!

Polly’s coming back!

After a four year closure, the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) is proud to confirm the re-launch of Polly Woodside later this year. Polly is one of Melbourne’s iconic attractions.

Aiming to provide an engaging experience for young and old alike, the relaunched attraction includes a new interactive museum telling Polly’s life story and what it was like on the high seas aboard ship. Part of the experience will include a specially commissioned film shown in a purpose-built theatre in the museum. The attraction will also include interactive elements as well as games for all ages. In addition there will be an exciting program of events and performances.

The Polly precinct development costing approximately $1 billion, is led by the Multiplex/Plenary Consortium and includes an investment in public spaces and a partnership with the Trust for a revitalised maritime heritage precinct and visitor centre.

In addition, Major Projects Victoria have committed to the refurbishment of the Duke & Orr dry dock – an undertaking essential for Polly Woodside to be appropriately preserved and maintained for the future.
