During her late teens and early twenties, Melissa Jackson wanted to be many things – textile artist, knitwear designer, opera singer. Today, she is known for her unique millinery style, dressing some of Australia’s most fashionable ‘fillies’.

Melissa Jackson transforms traditional techniques into innovative and contemporary designs; her signature styles are colourful, sculptural, distinctive creations alive with sinamay, appliqué, diamantes, fishing wire, straw petals and more. Melissa’s work often makes an appearance on the winner’s stage at ‘Fashions on the Field’ competitions.

In the professional category, Melissa won the Classic Caulfield, Designer Award in 2001, Caulfield’s Style Award
in 2006 and in 2007 was 1st runner-up
in the VRC Milliner’s Award.
