Now that most of us are back to work with vague memories of those New Year Resolutions, many of us are wondering how to kick those Christmas kilos!

If you’re thinking of starting a fitness program, you’re on the right track!
Here are 3 easy steps to kickstart your health and fitness goals for 2009:
1. Decide to start! Making the commitment to get started is the first step to a healthier lifestyle. Exercise is an important investment in your own health and wellbeing, so once you’ve decided to start a fitness program, start immediately!
2. Pick an activity. There are so many options available, but find a safe activity with both strength and cardiovascular benefits. More importantly, make sure it’s fun! Something you’ll look forward to. No point dreading every session and dragging yourself through a fitness program if you’re not going to enjoy it. It just won’t last!
3. Buddy up! Find a friend or colleague to work out with and keep each other motivated. If your friends aren’t into the same kinds of activities you are – do it anyway! Go into it with the intention of meeting new people and expanding your network. Who knows? You might make a few new friends along the way.
