Love Blooms in Docklands

Love Blooms in Docklands

Craig and I met in 2001 at a high school party held by mutual friends and we have been together ever since.

In 2005 we moved from the suburbs to Docklands for a complete lifestyle change and we have not looked back since. We have been living in Tower 5 at Yarra\'s Edge for the past five years and we can’t imagine ourselves living anywhere else.

We love the fact that we are so close to everything, the city is on our doorstep, the beach is close by and there are so many beautiful parks, gardens and sporting venues within the area. We have watched the area grow over the years into one of Melbourne’s premier locations and you really can’t really ask or hope for much more than that.

Craig and I got engaged on Christmas morning in 2007 when Craig proposed under the Christmas Tree. We recently got married on January 30th 2010
at 333 Collins Street Melbourne, followed by a reception at Sketch.

We choose Sketch as our wedding reception venue for its stunning Haute Monde private room where no expense is spared. From the black chandeliers imported from Milan to the Spanish crockery, Sketch provided a level of class and sophistication that we didn’t find at any other venue.
We felt that Sketch was a representation of our personalities and the style of life we have aspired to while living at Docklands. Located at the end of Central Pier with its floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the water and the Bolte Bridge, we knew this venue would leave a lasting impression of our special day on us and also our guests. It was the perfect venue
for our special occasion, and so close to home too.

Our photographer was James Boddington of Xiss Photography and he really captured our special day as well with some fabulously stunning shots of Webb Bridge, Docklands Park and Central Pier at sunset.

Docklands has everything we need, it’s a place we call home, where we relax with family and friends and celebrate our most special moments. We can’t see ourselves moving out of Docklands anytime in the near future.
