MELBOURNE’S newest foot and cycle bridge that will connect the new convention centre and Docklands is set to be named. Last year, Lord Mayor Robert Doyle suggested the bridge be named after CBD shooting hero Brendan Keilar.

Water Rat was on the nose asking Melburnians what they think the bridge should be named and why?

Daryl – “The Good News Bridge in memory of Brian Naylor.”

Steve – “Accidental Heroes– dedicated to all Victorian heroes and those who acted in bravery to save the lives of others. It could be updated with names each year.”

Antony – “Southern Star Trek for all the trekkers using the bridge.”

Wendy – “I agree with the Lord Mayor but there are so many heroes to take into account.”
