Water Rat burrows deep into the news
November in Docklands is like a refreshing Pina Colada when getting caught in the rain…
well that’s unless you are into French Champagne. Squeaking of Champagne, Docklands has plenty to celebrate in November. So let’s have a corker of a month...
Jessica Simpson is set to cause a media frenzy as the ‘face’ that may just stop relations, opps…I mean the nation at the Spring Racing Carnival. To help lure her to the Opening of the Observation Wheel, Water Rat put forward an angle to her publicist that ties in all three elements that she is famous for to help secure a personal visit to Docklands.
These are singing, boots and her role as an ambassador for Proactive Acne Solution. Water Rat’s request was simple, yet cunning…Dear Jessica’s Publicist…Docklands tourism boost at times needs a good massaging and squeeze and we believe Jessica’s personal plight mirrors our proactive marketing approach to ensure Docklands will be walked all over for years to come. As Jessica is constantly observed, pointed at and sometimes considered to have her head in the clouds, we would be delighted if Jessica could sing our praises at the grand opening of our Observation Wheel during her visit to Melbourne…We will be more than happy to supply hundreds of teenagers at the opening to ensure Jessica can present a short (her signature denim pair would be great) demonstration on how to feel confident whilst in view of the public. Jessica’s involvement will ensure additional publicity for Jessica as her appearance will attract one of Australia’s most controversial media personalities (and resident to Docklands) to the opening spotlight as he will certainly crack the zits and be out in full force confiscating the teenager’s skateboards and BMX bikes on the day. No word has yet been received from her publicist, but if you see Jessica around Docklands then that’s a wheelie big Yee Ha to Water Rat!
The horses are certainly on the track following the official announcement from Lord Mayor John So that he won’t be running in the November stakes. The inside word from the MCC stables suggest that there is a one horse race going on for the position for the Docklands Lord Mayor that doesn’t actually exist. Straight from
fellow horses’ mouth in Council…
Cr Peter Clarke has his sights set on
the Docklands finishing line and trots around chambers brushing everyone with the winning ticket on himself. Hey…hold your horses Cr Clarke…Water Rat already holds that make believe position as Docklands Lord Mayor.
Docklands new Victoria Green Park in Victoria Harbour has been well received by the community. The park was architecturally designed and has stunning features and beautiful garden beds…yet a few complaints have surfaced over the pooch invasion from other precinct apartments … whom always believed the grass was would certainly be greener on the side…twink, twink…
What’s in a name? Rat-Pack night at Alumbra….”mmm”….just get your people to call my people and Water Rat will sing right on in...what a jazzy idea!
