Docklands Yacht Club Sails into September

If you have been waiting for the opportunity to get involved in the Docklands Yacht Club get your diary out and jot down these dates.

Learn How to be a Volunteer at Docklands Yacht Club is a full day training program conducted by Yachting Victoria instructors. It covers a thorough introduction to working as a DYC Volunteer and is a 'hands-on' opportunity to learn about DYC's Participation Pathways, Disability Awareness, preparation of DYC's fleet including both powerboats and Access Dinghy’s, sailing basics and dinghy handling with a sailing session to complete the day.

Saturday Sept 12 from 10am start time to 4.30pm includes lunch.

Community Sailing: All Docklanders are very welcome to participate.

Sunday September 13th from 11am-1pm (on this day followed by short course racing for members)

Sunday September 27th 11am- 4pm
Annual General Meeting of Docklands Yacht Club: Will be held at The Docklands Community Hub.

Monday September 21st at 7pm
Short Course Racing: The Docklands Short Course Racing Series will commence this September. Scheduled over eight Sundays from September through to April, the Docklands Short Course Series is open to Access 2.3, Access 303 and other classes. Strong winds and event conflicts forced the abandonment of racing on the first three scheduled weekends last year, so the program has been extended to ensure a good number of races are completed. The Notice of Race has now been posted and entries are invited.
