Springing into 3207 Port Melbourne

Springing into 3207 Port Melbourne

Here we are in Port Melbourne; our first issue of 3207 has been fun to put together and a great opportunity to rediscover this interesting area of Melbourne.

My chat with Diana Prazac was a real eye opener into the world of women's boxing. Diana trains at BoxingFit Gym in Port Melbourne and is incredibly passionate, driven and determined to take her place in history as the next Champion of the World in the sport. Diana will face the current world number 1, Canadian Lindsay Garbatt this September in a bout for the world title. I must say, I was truly impressed, Diana is an incredibly interesting and articulate woman, and a yet to be, fully discovered media pearl on the shores of Port Melbourne.

We all love our pets and I enjoyed speaking with Dr Julie Paris from Port Melbourne Veterinary Clinic and Hospital about caring for our pets now that springtime has sprung. It is great to know also there is a local vet open 7 full days a week, as all pet owners know, accidents and busy lives don't just fit into the working week.

Station Pier set the scene last month as the Royal Australian Navy celebrated 100 years, see page 5 for all the details of this historic visit.
Lastly, there are some great things to see and do in Port Melbourne, we have included a few varied suggestions. If you have any suggestions for stories you would like us to cover, please just drop me a line!
