Docklands Entertains Sundays in August

Catch some cool jazz, Gypsy rhythm or tribal beats on Sunday afternoons AT Waterfront City Piazza. The free live entertainment is sure to get your toes tapping while you check out the Sunday market or in between venues on your Slow Sundays trail.

1 August - \"Zebra Crossingâ\"

African Jazz that Rocks! West African percussion, European jazz sax and flute and the sound of beautiful South African vocals, guitar and kalimba. Zebra Crossing concerts can be intimate acoustic sessions where people quietly absorb and are engrossed in the music washing over them or they can be riotous dance parties with the irresistible grooves seducing the audience to their feet.

8 August - \"Sparklies\"

Combining your favourite music, audience participation and non stop laughs, the Sparklies will impress your guests with everything from their spin on \"subtle background music\" to daggy disco classics. They love nothing more than being musically challenged by your guests and yes, they can play

22 August - \"Tarantella\"

Tarantella performs the music of Italy covering a vast repertoire that ranges
from the Tarantella of Calabria to the mountain songs of the north to the romantic songs of Naples. Tarantella\'s Australian concert highlights include: The National Folk Festival and National Multicultural Festival. New Zealand concert highlights include: The Wellington & Dunedin Folk Festivals and The Christchurch Jazz Street Festival. Filippo (accordion/vocals) has performed in the classic Italian musical \'Emma Celebrazione\' and in the Lygon Festa and
The Crown Italian Festival.

29 August - \'Leo and Girish\'

Leo and Girish combine their cultures and talents with North Indian classical tablas player, Girish and Leo playing alto and soprano saxes and alto flute, their infectious groove and extra sensory communication is drawing audiences near. These two musicians are great believers in: warmth of tone, the importance of melody, music as conversation and the importance of building rapport with the audience through story telling.
