Roman's View: Docklands - Lets Get Walking and Talking

It’s December, the start of summer
- always my favourite time of year
to be in Docklands.

And with the party season beginning to take shape, it’s a good time for all of us, to do likewise. What better way than to get involved in a Workplace Wellness Program. As many of us already know walking is a fun, social and easy way
to be active, and best of all it’s FREE!

Over ten million Australians spend an average of eight hours per day in the workplace. Effective workplace health programs have been shown to improve the health and wellbeing of employees and help facilitate organisational changes, such as reduced absenteeism and increased productivity.

Workplace health programs can cover
a broad range of health areas including nutrition, physical activity, and help with stress management to improve the health and well being of all staff. The Heart Foundation have a range of resources
to assist any sized workplace develop
a workplace wellness program.

With over 16,000 active members and with members groups already out there making the most of the extra daylight hours, the question is, will you? I think this is such a great time to get cracking and get fit for the summer months ahead.

In Romans View: Summer is a great time of year to kick back, relax and enjoy all that Docklands has to offer. May the festive season find you safe and well, have a great summer, everyone!
