It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas now, with decorations well and truly transforming Melbourne’s landscape into a sea of shiny red, white and green. One of the most familiar sounds that signals the festive season is upon us is of course Christmas carolling.
Everyone who enjoys the spirit of Christmas has a favourite carol and you can enjoy a magical musical extravaganza as the Docklands Community Choir performs their repertoire of popular and traditional carols at Victoria Green this December with a special appearance by musical comedy act Tripod and the cast of the popular stage show Billy Elliot.
The Choir brought much Christmas cheer and entertainment to last year’s festive season and no doubt will please audiences again. The Docklands Community Choir has been busy practising for the event and welcome Docklands residents to come down and sing along to your favourites with your friends and neighbours.
The Choir put a call out to Docklands residents to join them a few months ago and encourage prospective carollers to join them for next years performance by contacting Robyn Hill, Director of the Docklands Community Choir on 0400 183 376 or via Docklands Community Church.
Don’t miss this Christmas carolling special at Docklands on Thursday 11th of December from 7pm at Victoria Green next to 825 Bourke Street, Victoria Harbour.
