The Circus Sunrise Spectacular is coming to town and has set up tent in the most perfect of locations, in the heart of Docklands under the Southern Star observation wheel promising genuine family entertainment throughout December and the New Year.
Circus Sunrise may not be the most spectacular of circus shows on earth with Cirque du Soleil hot on its heels, but it definitely has heart and soul, ‘a palpable love of the ancient business of circus entertainment’ that seems to run in the blood, and you know what, it does!
Circus Sunrise has circus family lineage that can be traced back to 1648. Sisters, Rosita and Caroline are the daughters of Mona, a former contortionist and Rudi Belli renowned animal trainer and member of the famous European circus family. The sisters are the fourteenth generation of circus artists and married David and Gary who are also both from Circus families. After travelling Australia and Asia through the 90’s as stars of The Great Moscow Circus they now operate and perform in Sunrise Circus as one big happy family.
When it comes to tradition there isn’t a circus in the world that can match Circus Sunrise, it provides a warm and nostalgic atmosphere reviving the spirit of the circus. From the clowns to the trapeze, juggling and acrobatics and all the death defying stuff we’ve come to enjoy, Circus Sunrise brings the true essence of the circus back to town and will no doubt bring joy and delight to audiences as only the circus can.
Circus Sunrise will perform three shorter shows per day during the school holiday period from December 17th until January 26th.
