If you missed out on funding for your small business, conference, festival or major event in the City of Melbourne’s first funding round, make sure to get your application in for the second funding round opening on Monday 19 July for events and activities in 2011.

Small businesses located or intending to locate in our municipality can apply under one of four categories: start-up grants; business expansion; export; and business support. The grants help new, creative and different business activities contribute to a thriving, competitive business environment.

Major event organisers or conference organisers can apply for funding under the Business Event Sponsorship and Event Partnership Program for events and conferences held in our municipality. The sponsorships support and improve the quality and variety of events, and ensure conference delegates enjoy all the city has to offer.

The second round of grants and sponsorships for Small Business Grants, the Event Partnership Program and Business Event Sponsorship closes Friday 13 August; successful applicants will be notified in November.
