The Dutch community in Melbourne is organising the 5th Dutch Orange Day: the party in Melbourne celebrating Queen Beatrix' birhtday.
This year's theme is 'the bicycle'. come along on your bike (with bell) to Queensbridge Square and participate in the world record attempt 'fietsbel bellen' (bike-bell ringing).
Enjoy Dutch foods like poffertjes, kroketten, leompias and oliebollen and drink a glass of Holland's best beer. Dress in any fashion as long as it's orange, the Dutch national colour! Other activities include live music, Mister Whiskers and his dog Smiggy, face painting, Dutch folk dancing, clog making demonstrations and much more.
